PHILIPS ArenaVision LED for sports hall “Levski Sofia”
Levski Sofia Sports Hall of Levski Volleyball Club was opened on January 29, 2021. This is the newest and most modern sports facility in Bulgaria, designed and implemented in order to host high-ranking sports events and at the same time to be functional and accessible for mass sports.
Levski Sofia Sports Hall has a maximum capacity of 1724 seats together with the movable stands. All CEV requirements for holding Champions League matches without a final four are met.
The total area of the play area is 1821.11 sq.m., and the clear height – almost 13 meters. In training format, the facility offers three full-fledged courts, which are suitable for training and official matches of both volleyball and basketball teams. The clear height of the playing field of almost 13 meters is suitable for volleyball competitions of the highest class, and together with the designed lighting in the hall, which meets international requirements for sporting events, turns the hall into a multifunctional facility, convenient not only for sports and cultural events.
The PHILIPS ArenaVision LED floodlights used illuminate not only the play area but also the public area, and are programmed to create special lighting entertainment effects for the shows.
The Philips ArenaVision LED floodlight system is an innovative solution for high-altitude LED lighting, supporting the latest standards for television broadcasting, 46 ArenaVision LED floodlights were installed during the project. Thanks to its high flicker-free quality, the new lighting allows high-definition HD broadcasting and meets the latest requirements for live TV-HD broadcasting (required by TV programs, especially for slow-motion repeats), so the hall is entitled to host international sports tournaments.

- When the supply voltage fails, the LED luminaires do not need time to warm up during restart;
- No flicker is observed with LED luminaires;
- When selecting a mode for lower levels of illumination (from TV to training and vice versa) LED allows dimming of all luminaires (there are no such LED luminaires that do not light), resulting in uniformity of the environment;
